Pegasus Solutions expands tech leadership

FRAMINGHAM (02/05/2004) - Pegasus Solutions Inc., a global provider of software and reservation systems for the hospitality and travel industries, appointed John F. Cole the company's CIO and created the position of CTO to be filled by Frank L. Day.

Cole brings more than 20 years of information technology experience to Pegasus Solutions. Most recently, he was vice president of technology for JPMorganChase. Before that, he was assistant vice president of technology services for Sprint, where he grew that organization from 600 to 1,200 developers across the United States. Cole also has held senior leadership positions at Banc One, First Tennessee Bank and Ernst & Young.

Filling the new CTO position, Day will report directly to Cole. Day has a 25-year record of successfully managing operations, information technology and strategic planning at companies including Verizon Information Services, Electronic Data Services Corp. and Sprint Corp.

Cole holds a master's degree in systems science from Michigan State University, and he sits on the International Board of the Society for Information Management. He is based in Dallas at Pegasus' headquarters. Day holds a bachelor of business administration degree in accountancy from the University of Memphis and is also based in Dallas.
