GAAP launches Windows POS system for restaurant market

JOHANNESBURG (12/01/2003) - Following two years of development, GAAP, a subsidiary of the JSE-listed UCS Group Ltd., has released a new Windows-based version of its point of sale (POS) software for the restaurant market, and has given the solution "bulletproof" status.

According to GAAP MD, J.P. D'abbadie, this means that the company is confident to call the product "the most stable, secure, and user-friendly restaurant POS software on the market".

"Like all our systems, the new Windows-based solution was designed and developed in-house, perfected by chartered accountants and people experienced in the POS field," he says.

GAAP now also offers an affordable rental model of its POS software to restaurant users, which includes full on-site support, and provides financing for the hardware if required. System implementation and training is also offered.

GAAP specializes in the provision of POS solutions in the restaurant and bar sectors of the local market.

"GAAP systems are user-friendly with high-speed transaction processing for excellent customer service," says D'abbadie. "Our real-time integration and connectivity gives users instant access to all information, with only a single entry needed from billing to balance sheet. Additionally, internal controls provide management with the confidence and peace of mind that its system is secure and its information accurate."
