Bergerson named HUPO president

FRAMINGHAM (11/24/2003) - At last month's First Joint World Congress of the Human Proteomic Organization (HUPO) and the International Association of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB) in Montreal, Sam Hanash, current president of HUPO, announced the election of John Bergeron to the position of incoming president of the organization. Director of Génome Québec and the Montreal Proteomics Network, and founder and scientific advisor of Caprion Proteomics, Bergeron will serve a two-year term beginning in June 2004.
