InternetNZ is to hold a public meeting on the ACTA agreement in Auckland next week.
The meeting, to be held on Wednesday March 24, will feature speakers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, InternetNZ policy director Jordan Carter, consultant and former InternetNZ president Colin Jackson, and 2010 Victoria University Cyberlaw fellow Jonathan Penney.
In a statement announcing the meeting, Carter says “ACTA is something anyone interested in the internet should know a bit about.
“The meeting on Wednesday is a chance for people to find out more about it.”
The meeting is at the Rendezvous Hotel in Auckland from 2pm to 4pm.
InternetNZ is also planning a public event in Wellington next month about ACTA, which will feature Canadian law professor and copuyright and digital technology law expert Micheal Geist.
InternetNZ has also launched a website to support its ACTA activities.
