Justice Ministry restructures ICT

Following a restructure of its ICT unit, the Ministry of Justice is seeking to appoint a recruitment firm to hire candidates for new roles.
According to an RFP (request for proposals) posted on the government tenders website GETS, “the ministry is currently undertaking a review of its Information and Communication Technology Unit.
“As a result, changes are envisaged to the structure. It is anticipated that the services of a recruitment agency will be required to assist in the process of recruiting appropriate candidates for a number of new roles (expected to be less than 15).”
The RFP closes on April 22 and services are anticipated to begin on May 4.
Housing New Zealand is going through a similar process of restructuring its ICT Department, establishing eight new senior roles to replace positions that have been disestablished or were vacant.
The department’s headcount of 70 will remain the same, Housing NZ senior communications advisor Michelle Hughes told Computerworld last month. She says the purpose of the restructuring is to ensure the department is able to meet its strategic goals and business requirements.
