Computerworld is the fastest-growing weekly publication in the country, according to the latest Nielsen Media Research readership survey.
Nielsen released its survey results yesterday for the year from July 2004 to June 2005. Computerworld increased its readership by 14% in the past 12 months, the largest increase of the weekly publications surveyed by the company. It is the second survey in a row that Computerworld has reported a significant increase in its readership, which has now grown to 48,000.
Computerworld publisher Doug Casement says the growth can be attributed to a "strong editorial team focused on delivering genuinely useful information about information and communications technology to ICT professionals and senior business decision makers.
"Early in 2004 we undertook extensive focus group research, which coupled with ongoing refinement of Computerworld's editorial mix, means we are more able to deliver the information that our readers need to be better informed and better equipped to do their jobs.
"ICT is a fast-moving world where constant change isn't a cliche, it's a hard fact that ICT professionals grapple with every day. IDG has the best local and worldwide ICT news network in the world, so we're well placed to deliver news and technical information that is useful, accurate and up-to-date," says Casement.
