The GCSB is seeking a talented Linux systems administrator to join our capability development team. As part of this specialised team you will be designing, implementing and administering infrastructure for a range of innovative capabilities. This is a technically challenging and rewarding role, where the infrastructure platforms you manage play an important role in protecting New Zealand’s national security.

This role is in a team of proactive and positive staff who enjoy leveraging current and emerging technologies for mission outcomes. The team is a growth area for GCSB with a roadmap of interesting and diverse technical projects for the right applicant to enjoy. We are looking for someone with experience in Linux systems administration at the RHCSA level or equivalent and one or more of the following areas is required:
• Virtualisation administration at the VCP/RHCVA level or equivalent.
• Infrastructure provisioning tools such as Puppet, Chef or Ansible.
• Network administration at the CCNA level or equivalent.
• ICT systems design.
• ICT systems security experience.

Please Note: Employment in the NZIC requires candidates to have been a NZ citizen, or a citizen of UK, Canada, USA or Australia, for at least 10 years and be able to obtain and maintain a high level security clearance.
