About
Origins
Launched in 1998, the Computerworld Excellence Awards celebrate the achievements of New Zealand's ICT users and publicly salute the efforts of those individuals and teams that successfully apply information technology to meet the needs of their organisation.
Objective
By showcasing examples of first class ICT applications to wider business audience — including senior executives, influencers and decision makers in New Zealand's corporations and government organisations — the Computerworld Excellence Awards helps to both grow the New Zealand ICT market and to boost the competitiveness of New Zealand's businesses by promoting 'role models' of excellence.
Credentials
The Awards have a high profile and respect, not only within the information technology industry, but also amongst the mass of influential ICT decision makers working in the wider community — and through them to business and government at all levels throughout New Zealand.
With finalists such as Airways New Zealand, Foodstuffs, New Zealand Defence Force, Air New Zealand, Inland Revenue, Trade Me and Ministry of Social Development, the Computerworld Excellence Awards clearly attract interest from the top echelons of New Zealand’s leading organizations.
