US based business process management (BPM) and customer relationship management (CRM) software company Pegasystems has opened its first office in New Zealand, in Wellington, headed by David Hill.
Pegasystems said its NZ office would provide local businesses with greater access to its customer engagement software to drive excellence in their sales, marketing, customer service and operations. “Pega’s applications provide businesses with adaptable and intelligent customer engagement software so that they can optimise any journey their customer chooses in real-time by presenting the right information across any channel,” the company said.
Pegasystems has been present in Australia for several years with offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra. Scott Leader, Pegasystems’ managing director for Australia and New Zealand said that, as local businesses and government agencies undergo digital transformation and digitise their workloads, they are demanding more advanced CRM and case management platforms. “Businesses today need access to data and insights to better manage processes and enable a higher quality of service.”
In 2013 Pegasystems named Australian customers as includingTelstra, Transport for NSW, ANZ Bank, Commonwealth Bank, and ME Bank. It said using its product had enabled Telstra to “reduce the cycle time for order-to-activation of IP services for enterprise customers by 70 percent, helping to meet the heightened expectations of its most demanding sector and helping to reduce their working capital requirements.”
