iSANZ seeks security excellence for annual awards

iSANZ open for entries

Entries for the second annual Information Security Awards New Zealand (iSANZ) have opened. There are four awards: one individual and three for organisations.

The board of iSANZ — a non-profit organisation set up to formally recognise the achievements of outstanding New Zealand InfoSec professionals, companies and initiatives/events — will also make a Hall of Fame award to a person, event or company that has made a significant contribution to the wider InfoSec community

The Best International Superstar award is open to individuals who have achieved significant results in the development or promotion of security work that has had a high international profile. The Best Security Project/Initiative award is open to companies or organisations that have successfully deployed and implemented an InfoSec project or initiative, or that have successfully initiated best InfoSec practices.

The Best Security Awareness Campaign award is open to companies or organisations that have successfully deployed and implemented a formal security awareness program covering outreach, education and assistance in order to raise awareness of InfoSec nationally. The Best Security Company of the Year award is open to security companies with superior security products, services or solutions that help customers tackle today’s most pressing InfoSec challenges.

Entries close at noon on Monday, 26 September 2016. Entry informationis available at Nominations for the Hall of Fame Award open Tuesday, 6 September 2016 and close Monday, 26 September 2016. Winners will be announced at a dinner to be held at Te Papa Museum, Wellington on the evening of Tuesday, 15 November 2016.
