NZ systems integrator strengthens cloud alliance

"The partnership provides our customers assurance in the PaaS cloud solution."

New Zealand Systems Integrator, Practiv, has strengthened its alliance with Progress in response to increasing local demand for rapid application development (RAD) in the cloud.

Terms of the deal will see Practiv now leverage Progress Rollbase to offer its customers app development with minimal coding.

New Zealand is undergoing a period of economic growth, in large part linked to its wise investment in innovation.

Both Practiv and Progress understand that in order for their customers to continue to grow they must be able to hit the market quickly with new ideas.

“Rollbase is a low code, rapid build solution that allows our customers more flexibility and agility in-house,” says Chris Tankard, Chief Operating Officer, Practiv.

“Ultimately, this can now produce higher quality, best of breed applications that are market ready in a matter of days not months.”

Practiv and Progress first formed a partnership two years ago and now their customers will be able to integrate Progress Rollbase RAD platform and business rules management Corticon software into their existing technology strategy plans.

Organisations can spread development responsibility across various departments, rather than relying on IT or external outsourcing, which means software developers can focus more time on mission critical activity.

“Our combined vision is to put our customers first and to increase efficiency and productivity through the agile RAD solution,” adds Craig Law, managing director and regional VP A/NZ, Progress Rollbase.

“Coupled with this, the partnership also provides our customers assurance in the PaaS cloud solution, on which we can guarantee that their data is held in New Zealand, which greatly reduces data sovereignty issues and improves cloud performance.”
