ARANZ Geo recognised for continuing global success

“This is a great acknowledgement for our truly world-class team around the globe."

Geological data firm ARANZ Geo has been named as a finalist in the 2015 Champion Canterbury Business Awards in the Global Operator category.

“This is a great acknowledgement for our truly world-class team around the globe,” says Shaun Maloney, CEO, ARANZ Geo.

“It’s been a significant year for the company. Not only have we continued to grow quickly and open up and build new markets such as Russia, Brasil, Turkey and Mexico, we also bought back our distributor network in Chile, Peru, Denmark, and Canada.

“On top of that we’ve developed new products that are set for launch.”

According to Maloney, ARANZ Geo has built a “global reputation” in the mining industry in particular as the developers of Leapfrog 3D geological modelling solutions for the mining, exploration, groundwater contamination, and geothermal energy industries.

The very first geological modelling tool of its kind, Maloney claims that Leapfrog is relied on by the top ten mining and exploration firms, with subsidiary company QG also serving the mining consultancy market.

“The company has achieved extraordinary growth over the past few years in large part to increasing demand for our Leapfrog software,” Maloney adds.

“Our fast growing team has responded fantastically to this demand and continues to really push the boundaries to deliver outstanding products that our clients can trust.

“Each day millions of dollars of investment decisions based on geology are made using our software.”

ARANZ Geo’s global footprint includes a Christchurch-based HQ and R&D centre and offices in Asia/Pacific, Africa, South America, North America and Europe.

But going forward, Maloney says the company is also gearing up to open up more new markets this year.
