Gosling returns to role as MD of Oracle NZ

Gosling held the position from 2002 to 2006 when he moved to Australia as vice president technology sales for Australasia

Robert Gosling has returned to his old role as managing director of Oracle New Zealand. He started on November 1.

Gosling held the position from 2002 to 2006 when he moved to Australia as vice president technology sales for Australasia.

Oracle wouldn’t comment on the move back, saying the company was in its “quiet period”.

Gosling replaces Peter Idoine, who resigned earlier this year. Idoine says he felt it was time for a break after working 11 years for multi-nationals. He was previously country manager for Sun.

“I took three months off ocean sailing and I’m now focusing on New Zealand tech companies, providing consulting and governance advice,” he says.
