Microsoft springs Internet Explorer 3.0 on the world on Tuesday, with "Midnight Madness" giveaways for users who download the latest version of its flagship Web browser.
At the stroke of midnight--technically, 12am Pacific Daylight Time, August 13--the browser becomes available from Microsoft's Website (http://www.microsoft.com) and the first 10,000 people to download and register within six hours win glow-in-the-dark t-shirts and go into the draw for a laptop computer (US and Canada only) and various other goodies.
Microsoft is also promising "incredible free offers from some of the top content providers around".
