MYOB boosts research and development team

More than 20 roles created in Auckland for company's enterprise division

Accounting software provider MYOB is creating more than 20 new research and development roles in Auckland. They will be part of MYOB’s enterprise division.

The vendor is to expand its EXO product range with a new online solution tailored to mid-market organisations. Its online LiveAccounts and AccountRight Live solutions cater to smaller businesses.

New Zealand product development manager for the enterprise division Trevor Leybourne says the decision to invest in a local centre of excellence is a demonstration of the company’s commitment to the New Zealand market.

“This investment not only strengthens our local research and development capability, it provides a great opportunity for local developers, testers, analysts and architects to be an integral part of a great team,” he says.

“Growth and expansion via launching a new product into the evolving online space signals an exciting time for the enterprise division. We look forward to announcing further details over the next 12 months.”

MYOB currently spends around $35 million on research and development per year.
